The child of a client regularly had uncontrolled panic attacks, associated with his new school. The mother wrote to say:
After one session, instead of going into full-blown panic, my son was able to discuss his homework problem (forgot his assignment sheet at school) and talked through do-able solutions, realizing that worst case, he would get 10% off on his homework grade, not hurting his overall average that much. He actively managed his anxiety/panic and had a pleasant evening. And at bedtime he said, “Mom, I’m lucky you are my mom. You make things better.” Isn’t that amazing!!!?
